We immediately fell in love with this region and imagined what it would be like to wake up surrounded by vineyards, with the sun flirting with the hillsides and this landscape that surrenders to the river.


That's how we dared to realize the dream of a lifetime, and from this passion was born a concept of creating accommodation rich in quality details and authenticity, inspired by the unique nature of the Douro Wine Region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.


In 2015, the first project was born - Quinta Rainha Santa Mafalda. In our house, charming environments have been recreated in innovative spaces, with personalized refinement. We share a taste for art and history, reflecting in every piece and in every corner our admiration for creativity and our ambition to convey a distinctive atmosphere to those who visit us. But Quinta Rainha Santa Mafalda is much more than just a house, because the experience is that during a stay guests feel like they own a farm in the Douro, taking away all the experiences of visiting its 4,000m2 vineyard, olive grove, orchard with a variety of fruit trees, and various garden areas, aromatic herb walks, complementing nature with the refinements of its exclusive swimming pool, jacuzzi, barbeque and regional oven.


In 2024 we have just prepared another project - Riba Loivos Village. In a very characteristic area with the last 80 meters via pedestrian access, and next to the church of Casal de Loivos, we have prepared in a 600m2 space, also with several levels just like the Douro, a communal pool area with breathtaking views over the Pinhão hillside, and the Douro River mirrored in its many sunny days. You'll also find a landing with a barbeque area and another with fruit trees and shadows to enjoy the scenery. In this accommodation we have 3 proposals, a 3-bedroom apartment and two studios, prepared from the restoration of a house with many years of history, which has been left with all the comforts of today, but with so many details of decoration and design typical of a careful and passionate work of restoration and framing. The views here rival the famous "Miradouro de Casal de Loivos" just a few meters away!

The house

With a privileged location on the property and sweeping views over the Douro River, the house was built along contemporary lines and with an architectural design. In harmony with the characteristics of the vineyard landscape, the house surprises with its natural setting.

This vacation home provides exclusive accommodation for a group of eight people, with a high level of comfort and all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay.

Highlights include the infinity pool, the jacuzzi room and the large games room with snooker table, piano and bar..

Orchard

Imagine the pleasure of having a private orchard during your vacation.

The Quinta has a wide variety of fruit trees, which add a special color to the property.

Fancy a lemonade or orange juice? All you have to do is pick some fruit..

With peaches, plums and figs, cherries, pomegranates and tangerines you can make a delicious fruit salad.

And to add a special flavor to your dishes, we have a garden of aromatic herbs, which are a delight to smell!
